Flutes, Flowers, Tin Men and Time Lords


Hi!! I'm Sara. I'm a 21 year old college student at the University of Nevada with a major in Music. I am also learning French and loving every minute of it. My main instrument is the flute and I play the piccolo in the Pride of the Sierra Marching Band. I also play the piano in various worship groups. I am an active member of the Eta Omicron chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. I love each of my sisters with all of my heart. I live for music and dance. My favorite color is white and my favorite animals are turtles and hippos. I love dancing, laughing, skipping, and hugs.

I'm a girly girl who owns tons of floral dresses, tights, and knee highs; although I have my geek out moments. I'm a total Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland nerd. I love any and all spin-offs of both stories, especially the sy-fy mini series Tin Man and Alice. My friends and I are all quite obsessed with Doctor Who. It's kind of one of our favorite things to talk about, and it's what you'll mostly find here on my Tumblr. I have a slight obsession with all British things, especially Union Jacks and tea. Also, I love How I Met Your Mother, Bones, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, New Girl and Once Upon A Time. I am practically in love with Matt Smith and the Mad Hatter. I am a Luna fanatic and I ship her and Harry pretty hard core. My three favorite actresses are Amanda Bynes, Zooey Deschanel, and Emma Stone.

My favorite band of all time is Relient K and I finally got to see them live for the first time in September!! It was wonderful! Close to them would be Eisley, Gungor, Esterlyn, The Hush Sound, First Aid Kit, and Addison Road.

Also, I am a Christian and want to go into the mission field in my future.

Mondays…

Everywhere you go, everyone knows the cliche “I hate Mondays.” But for the past month I really have hated Mondays. This is the third Monday in a row that I have found myself in tears, usually over an argument with my mother. Fortunately, I have been working with the youth group at my church and we do our Bible study on Monday nights. It has been such a much needed relief and the next hour and a half cannot go by faster. Also, we will be discussing 1 Timothy tonight. It is such a wonderful, powerful book and I am so very excited for the discussion that will occur.
